Kyrgyzstan (1993-1994)

This serie of banknotes is the first after the end of the communist regime. There are banknotes of 1 tyiyn, 10 tyiyn, 50 tyiyn, 1 som, 5 som and 20 som.

1 tyiyn (бир тыйын)

This banknotes worth 1 tyiyn was first circulated May 10th of 1993. On the main side center, you can see an eagle; in its upper part appears the name of the country, Kyrgyz Republic (кыргыз республикасы) and in the lower one, the written value of the banknote. In two opposite corners there are two 1's and in the center left and right side, two octogons with a cross inside. The rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements.
In the back part of it appears the emblem of Kyrzgyzstan, with 40-ray sun on it which represents the forty tribes and the sun, the wooden crown (tunduk). In ther upper and lower parts appear the same texts and the same structure. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 9 cm x 7 cm.


50 tyiyn (элүү тыйын)

This banknotes worth 50 tyiyn was first circulated May 10th of 1993. On the main side center, you can see an eagle; in its upper part appears the name of the country, Kyrgyz Republic (кыргыз республикасы) and in the lower one, the written value of the banknote. In two opposite corners there are two 50's and in the center left and right side, two octogons with a cross inside. The rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements.
