Hungary: occupation by USRR (1944)

This serie of banknotes belongs the period in which, during WWII, the Red Army (which belonged to the Soviet Union) conquered the country and defeated it. There are banknotes of 1 pengö, 2 pengö, 5 pengö, 10 pengö, 20 pengö, 50 pengö, 100 pengö and 1,000 pengö.

1 pengö (egy pengö)


This banknote worth 1 pengö was first circulated in 1944. On the main side right, you can see the written value of the banknote, with two 1's in the sides. In the upper part it can be seen the entity who coined this banknotes, which is the Red Army Command in Hungarian (A Vörös hadsereg Parancsnoksága). The lower text says that not accepting this payment is punished by military law. The rest of the banknote is decorated with geometric elements.
On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen the written value of the banknote, two 1's and the name of the Red Army Command in Hungarian, as well as decorative elements. This banknote has geometric figures as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 15.9 cm x 7.1 cm.

USSR (1922-1924)

This serie of banknotes belong to the period after the Declaration of Creation of  the USSR, in which the Soviet Constitution was approved and the restructuration of the economy was taking place. There are banknotes of 1 Soviet ruble, 3 Soviet rubles, 5 Soviet rubles, 10 Soviet rubles, 25 Soviet rubles, 50 Soviet rubles, 100 Soviet rubles, 250 Soviet rubles, 500 Soviet rubles, 1,000 Soviet rubles, 5,000 rubles and 10,000 Soviet rubles.

100 Soviet rubles (сто рубль)

This banknote worth 100 rubles was first circulated in 1922. On the main side center it can be seen the written value of the banknote and a 100 in the background. In the upper part appears a text saying State paper money (Государственный Денежный Знак) and USSR's coat of arms. In the lower part there is a text that says the value of the banknote is provided with all the properties of the republic and in the left and right sides there are two 100's.
The whole banknote is fulled with decorative elements. On the other side it can be seen a text that says that one of 1922 rubles is equal to 10,000 of the ones of previous issues and that this banknote has to be accepted for payments to institutions and individuals. In the lower part the text says that counterfeiting is punishable by law. There are eight 100's (four of them in the corners) and a lot of decorative elements. This banknote has geometric pattern as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 14 cm x 9.4 cm.

USSR (1924-1947)

This serie of banknotes belong to the period after the death of Lenin, in which Stalin assumed the leadership (forcing Trostki and Zinoviev into exile), builiding Socialism in One Country and Stalin's Great Purge; and then the WWII period, in which after the non-agression pact with Nazi Germany and the latter invation of USSR, in the Battle of Stalingrad and the following ones the country helped importantly to get the victory of the Allies. There are banknotes of 1 Soviet ruble, 3 Soviet rubles, 5 Soviet rubles, 10 Soviet rubles, 25 Soviet rubles, 50 Soviet ruble s and 100 Soviet rubles.

1 Soviet rubles (один рубль)

This banknote worth 1 ruble was first circulated in 1938. On the main side right it can be seen a miner and the value of the banknote written in Russian. There are three 1's, one in each corner but in one, where appears USSR's coat of arms. In the upper part says State Treasury Ticket of the USSR (Государственный Казнатшиейский Билет СССР) and in the lower text, that this is the valid currency for all payments in the whole country. All the banknote is fulled with geometric elements.
On the other side it can be seen the value of the banknote in Russian and the in other languages: Georgian, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Uzbek, Armenian, Turkmen, Tajik and Kyrgyz. In the upper part it's written the value in Ukrainian and in the lower one, in Belarusian. There are four 1's and decorative elements. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 12.5 cm x 6 cm.

USSR (1961-1991)

This serie of banknotes belong to the last part of Khrushchev precidency and the ones from Leonid Brézhnev (with the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia, Operation Danube; and the invation of Afghanistan) and Mijaíl Gorbachov, till the referendum for the preservation of the USSR. There are banknotes of 1 Soviet ruble, 3 Soviet rubles, 5 Soviet rubles, 10 Soviet rubles, 25 Soviet rubles, 50 Soviet rubles and 100 Soviet rubles.

1 Soviet ruble (один рубль)

This banknote worth 1 ruble was first circulated in 1961. On the main side center it can be seen a 1 and the written value of the banknote written in Russian. In the right part there is another 1 and in the left one, USSR coat of arms and a text guaranteeing the value of the banknote in gold, precious metals or others. In the upper part of the banknote appears the name of the National Bank in Russian (Госбанк, Государственный банк) and three 1's in the lower part, fulled with decorative elements.
On the other side it can be seen the written value of the banknote in Russian and in other languages of the country (Ukrainian, Belarusian, Uzbek, Kazakh, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Lithuanian, Romanian, Latvian, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Armenian, Turkmen and Estonian), plus a text saying that counterfeiting of tickets of the state bank of the USSR is prosecuted by law. Moreover there are three 1's and decorative elements. This banknote has stars (comunist symbol) inside circles as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 10.5 cm x 5.3 cm.

3 Soviet rubles (три рубля)

This banknote worth 3 rubles was first circulated in 1961. On the main side center it can be seen Vodovzvodnaya Tower, Grand Kremlim Palace and Ivan the Great Bell Tower.
Down, the text says that this banknote has to be accepted as a payment in every institution, company and between people in all USSR territory. In the upper part appears the name of the National Bank in Russian (Госбанк, Государственный банк) and there are three 3's, one in the right and another two in the center.
On the other side it can be seen the written value of the banknote in Russian and in other languages of the country (Ukrainian, Belarusian, Uzbek, Kazakh, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Lithuanian, Romanian, Latvian, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Armenian, Turkmen and Estonian), plus a text saying that counterfeiting of tickets of the state bank of the USSR is prosecuted by law. Moreover there are three 1's and decorative elements. This banknote has stars (comunist symbol) inside circles as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 11.1 cm x 5.7 cm.

5 Soviet rubles (пять рублей)

This banknotes worth 5 rubles was first circulated in 1961. On the main side center it can be seen Spasskaya Tower, a 15th century tower of the Moscow Kremlin in Moscow. In its left appears Soviet coat of arms. Down, the text says that this banknote has to be accepted as a payment in every institution, company and between people in all USSR territory. In the upper part appears the name of the National Bank in Russian (Госбанк, Государственный банк) and there are three 5's, one in the right and another two in the center. 
On the other side it can be seen the written value of the banknote in Russian and in other languages of the country (Ukrainian, Belarusian, Uzbek, Kazakh, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Lithuanian, Romanian, Latvian, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Armenian, Turkmen and Estonian), plus a text saying that counterfeiting of tickets of the state bank of the USSR is prosecuted by law. 10 Soviet rubles (десять рублей)

This banknote worth 10 rubles was first circulated in 1961. On the main side left it can be seen Soviet coat of arms. In its right it's written the value of the banknote in Russian and, in smaller writing, in other official languages (Ukranian, Belarusian, Uzbek, Kazakh, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Lithuanian, Romanian, Latvia, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Armenian, Turkmen and Estonian).  In the right there's a portrait of Vladimir Lenin, Russian communist revolutionary, politician and political theorist.
He founded the Soviet Union and was its first head of government. In the upper part appears the name of the National Bank in Russian (Госбанк, Государственный банк) and there are three 10's, two in the left part and another one in the right white part. 25 Soviet rubles (двадцать пять рублей)

This banknote worth 25 rubles was first circulated in 1961. On the main side left it can be seen Vladimir Lenin, Russian communist revolutionary, politician and political theorist who founded the Soviet Union and was its first head of government. In the center it appears the Soviet coat of arms, the written value of the banknote, the name of the National Bank in Russian (Госбанк, Государственный банк) and a text guaranteeing the value of the banknote in gold, precious metals or others. There are two 25's (one in the center and one in the right) and the rest is fulled with decorative elements.
On the other side it can be seen red and green breams (USSR colours), the written value of the banknote in Russian and in other languages of the country (Ukrainian, Belarusian, Uzbek, Kazakh, Georgian, Azerbaijani, Lithuanian, Romanian, Latvian, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Armenian, Turkmen and Estonian), plus a text saying that counterfeiting of tickets of the state bank of the USSR is prosecuted by law. 50 Soviet rubles (пятьдесят рублей)

This banknote worth 50 rubles was first circulated in 1961. On the main side left it can be seen Vladimir Lenin, Russian communist revolutionary, politician and political theorist who founded the Soviet Union and was its first head of government. In the center it appears the Soviet coat of arms, the written value of the banknote, the name of the National Bank in Russian (Госбанк, Государственный банк) and a text guaranteeing the value of the banknote in gold, precious metals or others.
