Niendorf
Niendorf is a district of Timmerdorfer Strand (inhabited by 8,864 people nowadays) in the north of Germany. It belongs to the region Schleswig-Holstein, in the southeast of the region.A bit about Niendorf
Niendorf is located about 3.5 km east of Timmerdorfer Strand on the Neustädter Bucht of the Baltic Sea and 16 km from Lübeck.
The village Niendorf was first mentioned in 1385 under the name of "Nyendorpe", it was a peasant villed owned by Lübeck cathedral chapter. The fishing right of Niendorf Bay belonged to Lübeck fisherman till 1817. In 1854 a restauratna and an accomodation were established, beginning the seaside resort of Niendorf. During WWII, Niendorf was conquered by Great Britain and after WWII, it absorbed some German families from Prussia.

This banknotes worth 50 Pfennig was first circulated March the 1st of 1921. On the main side it can be seen a fisherman harbour with a small pier and the Niendorf Bay. There's a sentence which says " So'n Seebad is vor alles good Vor'n kranken Buk un nien Hoot" and means. There are two 50's next to the word Pfennig.On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen a text that says that this banknote can just be exchanged 30 days after being published a notice in two newspapers from Lübeck (they are mentioned). As for the digital watermark, it has no watermark. The size of this banknote is 10.5 cm x 6.4 cm.
