period of Bulgaria being under the leadership of Georgi Dimitrov and
becoming part of Soviet sphere.
There are banknotes of 1 Bulgarian lev, 3 Bulgarian leva, 5 Bulgarian leva, 10 Bulgarian leva, 25 Bulgarian leva, 50 Bulgarian leva,
100 Bulgarian leva, 200 Bulgarian leva and 500 Bulgarian leva.

banknotes worth 3 leva was issued in 1951. On
the main side left it can be seen Bulgaria's coat of arms in communist
times, with the written value of the banknote, a 3 and a text saying state treasury ticket (държавен
съкровищен билет). In the upper part can appears the official name of the country in
Bulgarian (Народна Република
България) and there are four 3's in the corners plus the acronym of Bulgaria's name.
On the other side of the
banknote appers two hands holding a sickle and hammer (communist symbol).
There are also three 3's and the written value. Moreover there are two texts, the first one
says that this banknote should be accepted in the institutions,
companies and particulars
and the second that countefeiting is punished by law. The rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements. This banknote has HPБ's as digital watermark. The size of this
