Hungary (1957-1990)

This serie of banknotes belongs to the period after the Soviet intervention by the Hungarian revolution of 1956 (which called for the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact) with the execution of Imre Nagy; János Kádár was elected president and signed an amnesty for the revolutionaries and at the end of the 1980s, Hungary led the movement to dissolve the Warsaw Pact, moving towards a market economy. There are banknotes of 10 florint, 20 florint, 50 florint, 100 florint, 500 florint and 1,000 florint.

50 florint (ötven forint)

This banknote worth 50 floringt was first circulated in September the 30th of 1980. On the main side right it can be seen Francis II Rákóczi, Hungarian leader of the Rákóczi War of Independence of 1703-1711 against the Habsburg rule, in a painting by Ádám Mányoki. In the left it can be seen a 50 and in the central part there's the Hungarian coat of arms in communist times, the written value of the baknote, the name of the National Bank in Hungarian (Magyar Nemzeti Bank) and a text saying that imitation of the banknote is punished by law.
On the other side of the banknote it can be seen a painting of the battle of Zvolen between the Kuruc army and the Habsburg one which resulted in victory and assault of Zvolen's castle. Moreover there are two 50's, the written value of the banknote and decorative elements. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 16.6 cm x 7.1 cm.
