This serie of banknotes belongs to the period first after the death
of Stalin, which produced a relaxation of the surveillance of the
country by the USSR; the abandonment of the Porkkala base occurred and
the country was authorized to join the European Free Trade Association
(EFTA). There are banknotes of 1 Finnish markka, 5 Finnish markka, 10 Finnish markka, 50 Finnish markka,
100 Finnish markka, 500 Finnish markka,
1,000 Finnish markka, 5,000 Finnish markka and 10,000 Finnish markka.

banknotes worth 1 markka
was first circulated in 1963.
On the main side center it can be seen some ear of wheat. In the right appears the written value of the banknote and the name of the National Bank in Finnish (Suomen Pankki) and the written value of the banknote in Swedish. There are four 1's in the corners and the rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements.
On the other side of the banknote appears Finland's coat of arms. There are four 1's in the corners; in the left it has the written value of the banknote and the name of the National Bank in Finnish and in the right, the written value of the banknote and the name of the National Bank in Swedish (Finlands Bank). This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 14.2 cm x 6.9 cm.
