Germany (1923)

This serie of banknotes (called Reichbanknote) is one in the hyperinflation that took place in Germany after WWI, during Weimar Republic, which caused considerable internal political instability in the country. There are banknotes of 5,000 Mark, 10,000 Mark, 20,000 Mark, 100,000 Mark, 500,000 Mark, 1,000,000 Mark, 2,000,000 Mark, 5,000,000 Mark, 10,000,000 Mark, 20,000,000 Mark, 50,000,000 Mark, 100,000,000 Mark, 500,000,000 Mark, 1,000,000,000 Mark, 5,000,000,000 Mark, 10,000,000,000 Mark, 20,000,000,000 Mark, 50,000,000,000 Mark, 200,000,000,000 Mark, 500,000,000,000 Mark, 1,00,000,000,000 Mark, 2,00,000,000,000 Mark and 5,00,000,000,000 Mark.

20,000 Deutsche Mark (zwanzig tausend Mark)

This banknotes worth 20,000 Mark was first circulated February the 20th of 1923. On the main side, both right and left, you can see two stamps, both black, consisting in the eagle (called Reichsadler), animal that symbolizes the German Empire (Deutsches Reich). It has two 20,000's and the written value of the banknote, the name of the currency (Reichbanknote) and the name of the National Bank in German (Reichbankdirektorium).
In the center there's a text saying that in July the 1st had to be collected and exchanged for another way of payment and in the left it tells us that counterfeiting the banknote is punished with more than two years of prission. On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen one 20,000 in the middle, with geometric elements surrounding it and the written value of the banknote. As for the digital watermark, it is full of lines making a labyrinth. The size of this banknote is 16 cm x 9.6 cm.



2,000,000 Deutsche Mark (zwei millionen Mark)

This banknotes worth 2,000,000 Mark was first circulated in August the 9th of 1923. On the main side, both right and left, you can see two stamps, both black, consisting in the eagle (called Reichsadler), animal that symbolizes the German Empire (Deutsches Reich). It has the written value of the banknote, the name of the currency (Reichbanknote) and the name of the National Bank in German (Reichbankdirektorium), with decorative elements.
In the center there's a text saying that in September the 1st the banknote had to be changed for another one and in the left a text tells us that counterfeiting the banknote is punished with more than two years of prission. The right part of the banknote has a bit of red. On the other side of the banknote there is nothing. This banknote has letters, stars in a laberinth as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 11.8 cm x 8 cm. 



10,000,000 Deutsche Mark (zehn millionen Mark)

This banknotes worth 10,000,000 Mark was first circulated in August the 22nd of 1923. On the main side, both right and left, you can see two stamps, both black, consisting in the eagle (called Reichsadler), animal that symbolizes the German Empire (Deutsches Reich). It has the written value of the banknote, the name of the currency (Reichbanknote) and the name of the National Bank in German (Reichbankdirektorium), with decorative elements. 
In the center there's a text saying that in October the 1st the banknote had to be changed for another one and in the left a text tells us that counterfeiting the banknote is punished with more than two years of prission. In the back part there's yellow and the word Millionen. On the other side of the banknote there is nothing. This banknote has letters, stars in a laberinth as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 12.5 cm x 8 cm.

20,000,000 Deutsche Mark (zwanzig millionen Mark)

This banknotes worth 20,000,000 Mark was first circulated in July the 23rd of 1923. On the main side, both right and left, you can see two stamps, both black, consisting in the eagle (called Reichsadler), animal that symbolizes the German Empire (Deutsches Reich). It has the written value of the banknote, the name of the currency (Reichbanknote) and the name of the National Bank in German (Reichbankdirektorium), with decorative elements. 

In the center there's a text saying that in September the 1st the banknote had to be changed for another one and in the left a text tells us that counterfeiting the banknote is punished with more than two years of prission. In the back part there's purple and the word Millionen. On the other side of the banknote there is nothing. This banknote has a vegetal braid as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 19.5 cm x 8.3 cm.
