Hungary (1932-1945)

This serie of banknotes belongs to Horthy's regime and the first years of World War II. There are banknotes of 2 pengö, 5 pengö, 10 pengö, 20 pengö, 50 pengö and 100 pengö.

10 pengö (tiz pengö)

This banknote worth 10 pengö was first circulated December the 22nd of 1936. On the main side right, you can see a woman model called Mária Böle, from Bucharest. In the left part it can be seen Virgin Mary with Jesus, a 10 and in the central part appears the written value of tha banknote, the name of the National Bank in Hungarian (Magyar Nemzeti Bank), another 10 and a text saying that imitation of the banknote is punished by law. The banknote is decorated with geometric and still life motiv. On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen a statue of king St Stephen (first Hungarian king from the 9th century) by Alajos Stróbl. In the left side is Hungary's coat of arms and in the lower side appears the value of the banknote in Hungarian and in other languages too (German, Czech,  Romanian, Ukranian and Serbian). All the banknote has decorative elements and has other two 10's. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 15.9 cm x 7.1 cm.

20 pengö (húsz pengö)

This banknote worth 20 pengö was first circulated January the 15th of 1941. On the main side right, you can see a female model with a floral crown. In the center part it can be seen a shepard playing the flute, a 20, the written value of tha banknote and the name of the National Bank in Hungarian (Magyar Nemzeti Bank), with a text saying that imitation of the banknote is punished by law. In the left there's another 20 and the rest of the banknote is decorated with geometric and still life motiv.
On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen a young wife with old man in the fields. In the left side is Hungary's coat of arms and in the lower side appears the value of the banknote in Hungarian and in other languages too (German, Czech, Ukranian, Serbian and Romanian). All the banknote has decorative elements and has other two 20's. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 16.6 cm x 7.7 cm.
