was first circulated May the 9th of 1988.
On the main side right, you can see Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Turkish
nationalist militar and founder of the Republic of Turkey, who
europeanize Turkey.
In the center it can be
seen decorative elements and the written value of the banknote. There
are two 10,000's and in the upper part appears the name of the
National Bank in Turkish (Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası).
In the back part of the banknote appears the Selim mosque, in Edirne and its architect, Mimar Sinan. You can see two 10,000's in opposite corners and decorative elements, like a kind of rose in the right downside corner. It has the written value of the banknote and the name of the National Bank too. This banknote has Mustafa Atatürk's face as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 14.6 cm x 7.2 cm.
