This serie of banknotes belongs to the period in which during the Allied occupation of Japan, the Meiji Constitution was modified (based on the symbolic role of the emperor, the prominence of civil rights and human rights and the renunciation of war) and the war criminals were judged, quickly stabilizing the country. This is the last series using Kyūjitai or seiji, the traditional Japanese kanji (from 1946 the kanji used in Japan with the list Tōyō kanji was reformed). There are banknotes of 5 sen, 10 sen, 1 yen, 5 yenes, 10 yenes,

yen and 100 yenes.
The rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements. On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen the National Diet of Japan (国会, Kokkai), the Japanese parliament in Tokyo. In the right part appears a big 10, in the upper one the name of the National Bank transcripted in Latin letters (Nippon Ginko) and it also has the written value of the banknote in Latin letters. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 10.1 cm x 5.2 cm.
The rest of the banknote is fulled with Japanese typical decoration with a green pheasant and a Japanese white witch and decorative elements. On the other side of the banknote apperas a geometric design with the official name of the country written with the Japanese traditional alphabet (日本国) and the Latin alphabet (Nippon). This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 13.9 cm x 7.6 cm.
10 sen (錢拾)
This banknotes worth 10 sen was issued in September the 5th 1947. On the main side right it can be seen flying pigeons and four 10's in the corners. In the center appears the Imperial Seal of Japan or Chrysanthemum Seal (菊花紋章, kikukamon) and in the upper part the name of the National Bank in Japanese (日本銀行) and the name of the currency (券行銀本日).The rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements. On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen the National Diet of Japan (国会, Kokkai), the Japanese parliament in Tokyo.
