Hungary (1926-1932)

This serie of banknotes belongs to Horthy's regime and and the rexstauration of the Kingdom of Hungary with Charles IV (Austro-Hungarian pretender) as king. There are banknotes of 2 pengö, 5 pengö, 10 pengö, 20 pengö, 50 pengö and 100 pengö.

20 pengö (húsz pengö)

This banknote worth 20 pengö was first circulated in January the 2nd of 1930. On the main side right it can be seen Kossuth Lajos, Hungarian politician and President of the Kingdom of Hungary during the nationalist revolution of 1848-1849. In the left it can be seen a 20 and the Hungarian coat of arms and in the central part there's the written value of the baknote, the name of the National Bank in Hungarian (Magyar Nemzeti Bank) and a text saying that imitation of the banknote is punished by law.
On the other side of the banknote it can be seen the headquarters of Hungarian National Bank, in Budapest. It's surrounded with the value of the banknote in Hungarian and in other languages too (German, Czech, Ukranian, Serbian and Romanian) and completed with a 20 and decorative elements. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 16.6 cm x 8.5 cm. 


50 pengö (ötven pengö)

This banknotes worth 50 pengö was first circulated in October the 1st of 1932. On the main side right it can be seen Sándor Petöfi, Hungarian Romantic poet (considered the national poet) and key figure in the Hungarian revolution of 1848 and a 50. In the left it can be seen a 50 and the Hungarian coat of arms and in the central part there's the written value of the baknote, the name of the National Bank in Hungarian (Magyar Nemzeti Bank) and a text saying that imitation of the banknote is punished by law.
On the other side of the banknote it can be seen a painting of a csikós (horse shepherd) by Janos "Jean" Viski. It's surrounded with the value of the banknote in Hungarian and in other languages too (German, Czech, Ukranian, Serbian and Romanian) and completed with a 20 and decorative elements. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 17 cm x 8.7 cm.

100 pengö (húsz pengö)

This banknotes worth 100 pengö was first circulated in July the 1st of 1930. On the main side right it can be seen Matthias Corvinus, 15th century Hungarian king who expanded the kingdom of Hungary and made culture flourish and two 100's. In the left it can be seen two angels holding the Hungarian coat of arms, a 100 and in the central part there's the Holy Crown of Hungary, another 100, the written value of the baknote, the name of the National Bank in Hungarian (Magyar Nemzeti Bank) and a text saying that imitation of the banknote is punished by law.
On the other side of the banknote it can be seen a view of the baroque Buda Castle by the Danube river, in Bupapest. It's surrounded with an eagle and the value of the banknote in Hungarian and in other languages too (German, Czech, Ukranian, Serbian and Romanian) and completed with a four 100's and decorative elements. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 17.8 cm x 9.1 cm.
