This serie of banknotes belongs to the
period of Malaysia, Singapore, North Borneo, Sarawak and Brunei invation.
There are banknotes of 1 cent, 5 cents, 10 cents, 50 cents, 1 dollar, 5 dollars, 10 dollars, 100 dollars and 1,000 dollars.
This
banknotes worth 10 dollars was issued in 1944. On
the main side right, you can see a typical Malaysian forest, with coconut palms and banana and guava tree.
In his left appears the written value of the banknote and the name of
the entity which coined them, the Japanese government, in English
(Japanese government). There are five 10's, one in each corner and one
in the middle, and in the
lower part there's a text in Japanese.
The
letters in black meant that these banknotes were used in Malaysia. The
banknote is fulled with decorative elements. On the other side it can be
seen the sea and some palms and seven 10's, surrounded with geometric decoration. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this
banknote is 16.1 cm x 7 cm.
