This serie of banknotes
belongs to the
period of current Myammar being invaded by Japan, stablishing an
independent country, a puppet state under the leadership of Ba Maw.
There are banknotes of 1 cent, 5 cents, 10 cents, 1/4 rupee, 1/2 rupee, 1 rupee, 5 rupee, 10 rupee and 100 rupee.
The letters in red meant that these banknotes were used in Burma. The banknote is fulled with decorative elements. On the other side it can be seen five 5's, one in each corner and one in the middle. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 10 cm x 4.6 cm.
5 cents (five cents)
This banknotes worth 5 cents was issued in 1942. On the main side right, you can see the written value of the banknote and the bank who coined them (Japanese government). There are two 5's, one in each side, and in the lower part there's a text in Japanese.The letters in red meant that these banknotes were used in Burma.
