This serie of banknotes belongs to the period in English history
before, during WWII (in which Winston Churchill became the PM of the UK
and took part in the war in favour of the Allies). There
are banknotes of 2/6 shilling, 5 shillings, 10 shillings, 1 pound.
This
banknote worth 10 shillings was first circulated in 1955.
On the main side left, you can see Britannia, the female
personification of the United Kingdom (and the name of the region in
Roman times).
In the center it
has the written value of the banknote and in the upper part, the name of
the National Bank in English (Bank of England). In the right there is a
10; in the lower middle part, a gap for the digital watermark and the
rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements.
On the other side you can seen in both the left and right side, a representation of the written value of the banknote (10/-), with the first number meaning the number of shillings and the second, of pennies.
