This serie of banknotes belongs to the period after the Camp David Accords (1978) and the Israel-Egypt Peace treaty.
There are banknotes of 1 shekel, 5 shekels, 10 shekels, 50 shekels, 100 shekels, 500 shekels, 1,000 shekels, 5,000 shekels and 10,000 shekels.
On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen Jaffa Gate, one of the eight gates in Jerusalem's Old City walls. There are three 1's and the name of the National Bank in Hebrew, Arabic (بنك إسرائيل) and English (Bank of Israel). The whole banknote is full of decorative elements. This banknote has Moses Montefiore's face as digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 13.3 cm x 7.6 cm.

This banknotes worth 1 shekel was first circulated April the 5th of 1945. On the main side right, you can see Moses Montefiore, a British financier and banker who donated large sums of money to promote Jewish community, founding the place that appears in the back. In his background appears Mishkenot Sha'ananim (first Jewish neighbourhood in Jerusalem) and has two 1's, one in each side. This banknotes worth 50 shekels was first circulated February the 20th of 1980. On the main side right you can see David Ben-Gurion, Zionist leader, syndicalist, politician and prime minister of Israel (between 1948-1954 and 1955-1963), proclaiming the independence of Israel in 1948, with the library of Sde Boker, kibbutz where he retired.
