There are banknotes of 1 sum, 3 sum, 5 sum, 10 sum, 25 sum, 50 sum and 100 sum.
This banknotes worth 25 sum was first circulated July 1st of 1994. On the main side center, you can see the Uzbek coat of arms, a 25 and the written value of the banknote surrounded by a Huma bird, a mythological bird symbolizing happiness and love of freedom; in its uppert part appears the name of the National Bank in Uzbek (Узбекистон республикаси марказий банки) and in the lower a text saying that this currency has to be accepted all along the country.
In the left part appears a traditional mosaic. On the other side of the banknote it can be seen Kazi Zade Rumi mausoleum placed in Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, in Samarkand. It has decorative elements, the value of the banknote and a text saying counterfeiting is illegal. The digital watermark of this banknote is Uzbezkistan's coat of arms.
