Czechoslovakia (1970-1983)

This serie of banknotes belong to the period in which anti-communist dissent appeared in Czechoslovakia and Charter 77 was published (founded by Václav Havel), asking the Government to accomplish the human right agreement they signed. There are banknotes of 20 korun and 500 korun.

20 korun (dvacet korun/dvadsať korún)

This banknote worth 20 korun was first circulated in 1970. On the main side right it can be seen Jan Žižka, a Czech hussite general from the 12th and 13th century, thought to be one of the most important minds in the history of military strategy. In the center it can be seen the written value of the banknote and the name of the National Bank in Czech (Státní Banka Československá), plus the Czechoslovak coat of arms and a text that says that counterfeiting banknotes is punished by law.
The rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements and two 20's in opposite corners. On the other side of the banknote appears the picture of a codex in which appear hussite soldiers. There are two 20's in opposite corners, the written value of the banknote and a text saying that the banknote is backed with gold and other properties of the National Bank. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 13.4 cm x 5.9 cm.
