Cayman Islands (2010-nowadays)

This serie of banknotes belongs to the period of the territory being under the supervision because of being a tax haven. There are banknotes of 1 dollar, 5 dollars, 10 dollars, 25 dollars and 100 dollars.

1 dollar (one dollar)

This banknote worth 1 dollar was first circulated in 2014. On the main side right, you can see a portrait of Elizabeth II, queen of the territory (it belongs to the UK) as well as many other countries like Canada or Australia. Her left appears Cayman Islands' coat of arms, a map of the territory and in the upper part, the name of the National Bank in English (Cayman Islands Monetary Authority). There are two 1's and the rest of the banknote is fulled with angel fish.
On the other side of the banknote, it can be seen a cliff in The Bluff, on Cayman Brac. There two 1's, the written value of the banknote and a nautilus shell. The rest of the banknote is fulled with decorative elements. This banknote has a turtle, cornerstones and the word "CIMA" as digital watermark and security thread. The size of this banknote is 17.2 cm x 8.5 cm.
