This serie of banknotes belongs to the period in
which the territory maintained the monoparty and authoritarian
government, industrializing and guiding the economy towards technology
(known as Taiwanese Miracle), supported by USA and its allies, who recognized Taiwan as the representative of all of China.
There are banknotes of 1 yuan, 5 yuans, 50 yuans and 100 yuans.
In the corners there are four 1's and decorative elements. On the other side you can see the Presidential Palace, in Taipei, which houses the seat of the government of Taiwan, built during the Japanese occupation (1895-1945). The rest of the banknote is fulled with four 1's in the corners and geometric elements. This banknote has no digital watermark. The size of this banknote is 13.6 cm x 5.4 cm.
1 yuan (圓壹)
This banknote worth 1 yuan was first circulated in 1961. On the main side left you can see Sun Yat-sen, Taiwanese revolutionary, first president of the Republic of China and founder of Tongmenghui political party, being the first president of Taiwan. In the center it has the written value of the banknote and in the upper part, the name of the National Bank in Chinese (行銀灣臺). In the right there is an image of Qingshui cliffs and in the lower part a text says that the ticket was printed during the fifteenth government of the Republic of China.In the corners there are four 1's and decorative elements.
